How to book

All group visits must be booked in advance. Groups without a booking may be refused entry. Please call Visitor Services on +44 (0)1273 292820 or email visitor.services@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
We will provide you with a confirmation of booking showing your timed entry slot(s) which should be passed on to the group leader. Queries must be raised with Visitor Services before arrival as the Royal Pavilion cashiers and security staff cannot enter into negotiations regarding bookings. Only guides employed by the Royal Pavilion are permitted to conduct tours within the building.

Early or late arrivals
We cannot guarantee to provide a guided/audio tour if your group arrives early or late. If you are delayed please contact Visitor Services.

Cancellations/Alterations
Please give at least two working days’ notice to cancel or amend your booking or the fee may be charged in full. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Royal Pavilion has to cancel a guided tour, the guiding fee will not be charged and the group can enter using the audio guides.

Group numbers and behaviour
No more than 40 visitors per audio visit and 35 per guided tour may enter the building at any one time. Groups exceeding these numbers will be divided into smaller groups and given timed entry slots as close together as possible. Group numbers should be as shown on the confirmation of booking. If numbers differ please contact Visitor Services two working days’ in advance or you will be charged for the original number of persons booked. If numbers are less than 20, the reduced group rate will not apply. Some specialist tours have a minimum capacity; groups falling below this will still need to pay for the minimum number of participants. Group leaders are responsible for the behaviour of the group and must remain with them at all times. Any groups posing a threat to the health, safety and enjoyment of other visitors will be asked to leave.

Groups are entitled to a ratio of free group leader places as follows:
1 free for 10-20, 2 for 21-40, 3 for 41-60 and so forth.
