Brighton & Hove Residents

Residents of Brighton & Hove can now enjoy half price admission to the Royal Pavilion all year.


From 1 March 2008 to 31 March 2009 adult admission is reduced to just £4.25 (usual adult admission £8.50) with up to four accompanying children free of charge (additional children £5.10 each).


To get your reduced admission just bring of proof of residency (council tax bill or utility bill) on the day of your visit and present it to the Cashiers. One proof of residency per person.

Please note: To qualify for the residents discount your postcode must begin with BN1, BN2, BN3 or BN41.

Disabled Access

The ground floor of the Pavilion is easily accessible to wheelchair users with wide doorways and no steps to negotiate. Situated on the ground floor are the sumptuous State Rooms, Drawing Rooms, the Great Kitchen, the King’s Apartments and the gift shop which leads to the exit. Also on the ground floor is a specially adapted toilet for wheelchair users. Access to the first floor is via the staircase only.

Tactile tours of the palace can be booked for groups of visually impaired visitors. Sign language interpreted group tours are available for the hard of hearing. All guided tours must be booked in advance.

Wheelchairs are available on request.

 

Guided Tours for Groups

Royal Pavilion audio guides are available to all visitors.

Groups can still book tours with one of the specialist building guides.

Guided tours for groups must be booked in advance and are available in English, French, German and other languages on request. Tours can be adapted according to interests and needs.
Tactile tours of the Palace can be booked for visually impaired visitors. Sign language interpreted tours are available for the hard of hearing. Tours last approximately one hour, including an introductory talk in a private lecture room.

Filming & Photography

Filming and photography within the Royal Pavilion is not permitted anywhere in the building.  However, access may be agreed for professional projects.  For more information see our Filming and Photography in the Royal Pavilion page.

How to get here

The Royal Pavilion is situated in Brighton town centre and is fifteen minutes walk from Brighton station. Buses stop either outside the Royal Pavilion on Steine Gardens, or on North Street which is within 5 minutes walk.
